For the observation study, he was assigned to monitor Zone 7/the Far Travelers Group 7, who had begun to think of him as a deity to be praised with shiny gifts and females. The survey team included ninety-nine other male drakkon and was meant to investigate an appeal made by the Royal Geneticist to have the planet classified as a protected habitat (so that the drakkon could no longer use wolves as hunting dogs to hunt humans). His father commanded him to join the thousand-year observation study to the planet that would become known as Earth (exiling him from their home planet of Drakkon, which would become known as Mercury) as a means of keeping him safe from his brother. In the Drakkon court, he was sometimes referred to as the Second Prince Even-Flamed because he didn’t completely lack a moral compass like his father and brother, who both had a reputation for cruelty. His other titles included Brother of the New King of Drakkon and Son to the Old King of Drakkon.
